LETC Summer Day Camps In an effort to increase children’s general appreciation for horses and to increase the skills of our riders and horses, we are pleased to offer a variety of summer day camps.
These are horsemanship camps aimed at educating students in all-round equine knowledge including daily riding lessons, education in stable management, and lots of fun activities. A Camp Session runs for five days, Monday to Friday, 9:00am—4:30pm. Riding helmets and proper boots must be worn when riding (we can provide a helmet for those who need it), and campers need to bring a lunch, snacks and plenty of water.
· Riding Lessons—each day campers will have a one-hour group lesson, maximum four per group · Stable Management—campers will be taught proper grooming, care of tack, parts of the horse, longing, feeding, and safe handling of horses. These classes will give campers a practical knowledge of caring for a horse through “hands on” practice. · Other Camp Activities—all campers participate in activities such as arts & crafts, trail rides, games, first aid, trailering preparation, walking a cross-country course, etc.
2010 Camp Dates: July 5-9 August 2-6 July 19-23 August 16-20
2010 Fees: $315 + HST per Session ($355.95 total)
This year we are again offering Multi-Week and Referral Discounts. See our brochure for details.
